Paneer ki Sabji (Paneer Curry) ki Recipe
Ingredients:
250g paneer (cubed)
2 tbsp oil
1 onion (finely chopped)
2 tomatoes (pureed)
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1-2 green chilies (slit)
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp coriander powder
Salt to taste
1/2 cup water (or as needed)
Fresh cream (optional, for a creamy texture)
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the Paneer:
If you want soft paneer, soak the cubes in warm water for 15-20 minutes before using.
Cook the Gravy:
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
Add finely chopped onions and sauté till golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
Add slit green chilies and pureed tomatoes. Cook the mixture until the oil starts separating from the masala.
Add Spices:
Now, add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook the masala for a few minutes until the oil starts to release from it.
Add Water:
Add water to the pan and bring it to a simmer. Let the gravy cook for 5-7 minutes, so all the flavors blend together.
Add Paneer:
Add the soaked paneer cubes to the gravy and gently stir. Simmer for another 5 minutes so that the paneer absorbs the flavors of the curry.
Finishing Touch:
If you want a creamy texture, add a little fresh cream and mix.
Sprinkle garam masala on top and give a final stir.
Garnish:
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve:
Serve hot with roti, paratha, or steamed rice. Enjoy your delicious paneer ki sabji!
